Burnout Syndrome in Internal Medicine Specialists at the General Hospital
Abstract
Brnout syndrome is a prevalent issue among healthcare professionals. Understanding the prevalence and factors contributing to burnout among these specialists is crucial for maintaining workforce well-being and quality patient care.To investigate burnout syndrome among internal medicine specialists at the Hospital. By examining the prevalence of burnout, associated risk factors, coping mechanisms, and impact on professional performance and job satisfaction, the research seeks to identify strategies for mitigating burnout and promoting physician well-being in the hospital setting. A cross-sectional survey-based study conducted among internal medicine specialists at the Hospital to assess burnout levels and related factors. Standardized burnout assessment tools, demographic questionnaires, and job satisfaction scales will be utilized to gather data. Qualitative interviews may also be conducted to explore personal experiences and perceptions regarding burnout. Addressing burnout among internal medicine specialists is vital for maintaining a resilient and engaged healthcare workforce. By identifying the prevalence and determinants of burnout at the "Arnaldo Milián Castro" Hospital, this study aims to implement targeted interventions, support systems, and organizational changes to promote physician wellness and improve the quality of care provided by internal medicine specialists.
